Since then, my car has seen many tears, a lot of laughter, probably too much car karaoke and lots of different faces. I just sat in my car, my safe spot, for a half hour crying. After taking that deep breath, I received the notification that I had been accepted to graduate school. It was a moment of clarity for me because during the interview, everything seemed to revolve around that one thing, but getting into my car, gave me the comfort and confidence and peace I had been searching for. My car got me there safely, helped ease my anxiety, and after the particularly grueling interview, I remember getting into my Trax, closing the door, and taking a deep breath. I was so nervous, and to top it off, I was going to be late if I even ran into on bit of traffic or one problem on the road. One day in particular I was heading to CT (a 2.5-hour drive) for an interview at a graduate school. It felt like even on my worst days, I could get into my car, take a deep breath, and everything was just a little more okay. I had fabulous date nights in this car, but I also had really long days. This car for me was a safe haven in all aspects of the word. I was planning my wedding, applying to graduate schools and my parents were splitting up. I remember I purchased this vehicle during a kind of stressful period. For me, the Chevy Tax scores 10/10 in style, reliability, comfort, fuel economy, functionality, space, and quality. I often say that if I won the lottery, I would just buy a few more of the same car in different colors. It even has features like regular outlets, Bluetooth, seat heaters, touchscreen, and more. It still looks like a newer car on the inside and outside. Additionally, it is so comfortable! I remember the day I realized it had a feature for lumbar support that you can adjust - I was shocked! The interior is all leather, which has been nice because it can withstand the wear and tear of everyday life like coffee spills, lunchbox leaks, easy-to-remove sand and dirt. In that way, the purchase has paid for itself tenfold. I didn't even know I could have a vehicle that required such little maintenance. Other than oil changes, I have not taken my car in for any maintenance whatsoever, and I drive a lot. The build quality is exceptional, and I feel very safe. Every time I see another Tax on the road, I think "it's so cute!" It is a smaller SUV but also has so much room in the front and back seats! I bought this car before getting married, and I can see it as a car that my family can grow into. The first thing I loved about the car was its body style. I'm not a car person, but I will try my best to discuss actual automotive details. Now, nearly two years later, it continues to blow me away and is hands down the best purchase I have ever made. I did not expect to fall in love with a vehicle there, but once I laid my eyes on the white Chevy Trax, I could not stop thinking about it. I went to Chevy to see if they had any used cars because I was fed up. It was unreliable, dated, and not functional. Prior to purchasing my 2016 Chevy Trax, I was at the mechanic at least once a month, pouring money into a car that was not keeping me safe.
